Sarocharu Audio Review : DSP Musical

Mass Maharaja ‘Ravi Teja’s ‘Saroccharu’ is getting ready for release on December 21st and the audio album has been released directly into the market. The album has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad and there are 5 songs in all in this album. A lot is riding on this movie for Ravi Teja, so let us see how the songs are.
1, Song: Made for each other
Singers : Devi Sri Prasad
Lyrics : Ramajogayya Sastry
This is a peppy number that has been rendered by Devi Sri Prasad himself and the vocals makes a favourable impression right away. The lyrics penned by Ramajogayya Sastry are easy on the ears and Devi Sri’s musical score complements the song well. The song describes the character traits of the hero and the heroine in a slightly humorous way. Decent number overall.
2.Song: Jaga Jaga Jagadeka Veera
Singers: Venu, Ranina Reddy
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry
A slow romantic duet that has Switzerland written all over it, ‘Jaga Jaga Jagadeka Veera’ is a song that makes an instant impression. Rendered beautifully by Venu and Ranina Reddy, this number has a very soothing effect on you. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are adequate and do their job. DSP comes up with a pretty good musical score for this song and you can see some signature DSP notes here. A good use of the synthesizer and percussion instruments makes this song an instant hit. Expect a pretty stunning picturization for thisnumber.
3.Song : Raccha Rambola
Singers: Javed Ali, Rita
Lyrics: Srimani
This is a fast paced duet that has a mass feel to it. Javed Ali and Rita do a decent job with the vocals. Srimanihas penned the lyrics and they are very ordinary. DSP’s music is slightly unconventional and except for the peppy nature of the soundtrack, there is nothing special here. It will be interesting to see how this song will be picturized. This song ends up being a very average number.
4.Song: Gusa Gusa
Singers: Sagar, Sunitha
Lyrics: Anantha Sriram
This is the second romantic duet of the movie and I am guessing one each must have been reserved for Kajal and Richa Gangopadhyay. Sagar and Sunitha have lent their voices for this number and their performance is good. Sunitha’s voicein particular is very romantic and complements the song well. Anantha Sriram’s lyrics are good. Devi Sri’s music is decent and a heavy use of percussion instruments can be felt. The song is a short one, at 3:35 minutes. A good number overall and easy to like the first timeitself.
5.Song: Kaatuka Kallu
Singers: Khushi Murali, Swetha Mohan, Chinna Ponnu
Lyrics: Chandrabose
This 4 minute number is an out and out mass track that is aimed squarely at the front benchers. Expect a masala picturization with some typical Ravi Teja dance moves. Shwetha Mohan’s voice stands out inthis number for its melodious naturewhile Murali has rendered the vocals with good energy. Lyrics have a typical Chandrabose flavour and theydo their job. DSP’s music is sufficiently rustic and the sound is dominated by traditional instruments. Nothing spectacular, but a decent number that will work if the picturization is good.
Verdict :
‘Sarocharu’ is a typical Ravi Teja album that has two good duets, one mass number and two peppy tracks. Though not spectacular, Devi Sri Prasad continues his good form and delivers a decent album that offers scope for a colourful picturization. With Parasuram at the helm, these songs should have good visuals. The songs ‘Jaga Jaga Jagadeka Veera’ and ‘Gusa Gusa’ are my favourite numbers from this album for their melodious nature.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu Movie Audio Review

The audio of
Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu was released directly in to the market on wednesday. The audio CD has six songs in total. Here is the audio review of the movie:
01 – Theme Song
Singers : Hemachandra, Karunya, Narendra
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
The title song of the movie which comes in the back ground. This happens to be when Pawan slaying the baddies in the movie. The song isnot exactly powerful but since its a back ground song, it will serve the purpose. Karunya and Hemachandra’s vocals have added weight to the song
02 – Pillani Choosthe
Singers : Karunya, Chaitra
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
The perfect mass song in the album. The lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla are peppy and are well complimented by Karunya and Chaitra’s vocals. Mani Sharma’s beatsare good especially in the Charan. The tempo of the song increases as the song progresses. Good steps from Pawan will drive the masses crazy.
03 – Joramochindhi
Singers : Shravana Bhargavi, Kushi Murali
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
The item song in the movie in whichScarlett Johnson shook legs with Pawan. It did not like her in the trailer released. Shravana Bhargavi’s vocals are too good and she had moulded her voice to push audience to the mood of item number and dida commendable job. Kushi Murali’s inclusion in the song is a let down. He tried to immitate Pawan Kalyan voice in the opening and failed miserably. Bhaskarabhatla’s lyrics are good.
04 – Extra Ordinary
Singers : Hemachandra
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
This is the song in which hero praises the beauty of Tamannah. As shown in the trailer, the song is going to be a treat for Tamannah fans. And coming in to the song. Mani Sharma had used good interludes in the song. The lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla were more confined to the beat of a mass song. Hemachandra had rendered the song well. An average stuff for me.
05 – Taladinchuku
Singers : Hemachandra, Karunya, Srikrishna, Narendra
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
This is the most impressive song of the album with a tinge of social content. The lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla are excellent. The song might be placed towards the climax, Right visuals and the song combined will make wonders. Puri might have drawn inspiration from Nenu Saitham song from Chiranjeevi’s Tagore.
06 – Melikalu
Singers : Geetha Madhuri, Narendra
Lyrics : Bhaskarabhatla
Narendra and Geetha Madhuri complimented each other in rendering the song. Both of their vocals seem to be fresh. The lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla are peppy. Interestingly, Bhaskarabhatlahad penned two contrasting songs in this movie. Song rich with the Telugu literature in the form of Taladinchuku and a song like Melikalu which resembled the dipping content value in Telugu
All in all, the album is an average kind of thing. Certainly not on par with Gabbar Singh audio. Mani Sharma seem to be a mere shadow of a great musician once. Bhaskarabhatla had got one more single card to his credit and tried nothing more than seconding Mani Sharma’s tunes.
My Rating: 3/5
