Telugu actor from the yester years Mohan Babu will be turning 60 today .

Mohan Babu was born on 19 th March 1952 . The actor made his debut in the Telugu film industry in the Year 1975 with the movie Swargam Narkam . From then on there wasno turning back for this actor.
He was mainly known for doing critically acclaimed negative roles . He had done about 20 films in Tamil in which he played negative characters. He has done about 550films in Telugu out of which he played the lead in 216 movies .
In 1992 he laid the foundation for Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust . This educational institute is one of the largest and most respected in the state. The institute gives free education to 25% students every year. Mohan Babu created history by removing the caste column in the application form of the institute. This gesture was appreciated largely and showed his vision that everyone has a right to education.
Mohan Babu has been awarded the Padma Sri by the Government of India . This award is one of the most prestigious awards in the country. The University of California hasawarded him the Honorary Doctorate and hence he is now known Dr. Mohan Babu .
