Rana Daggubati Genelia Starrer Na Ishtam Movie is all set to hit the screens today.
Na Ishtam is directed by Prakash Toleti and produced by Prachuri Keerti under United Movies banner. The expectations of the movie Naa Ishtam is pretty high and the unit recently celebrated Naa Ishtam audio success meet ( For Pics ) too. Chakri composed the tunes for this movie and NaaIshtam movie is said to be a romantic comedy entertainer. Rana Daggubati is very excited about Naa Ishtam , and apparently his best buddy Ram Charan who has seen the Naa Ishtam Movie has backed him and praised his dance moves ( Check Here Ram Charan tweets to Rana ). Story Line
Ganesh( Rana) is a selfish man. Strangely hehas a habit of turning on the good side in him when he is drunk. He turns selfless and is ever ready to help people in need. On the other hand Genelia is a girl with dreams of love in her eyes. She finds her man of dreams in Harshavardhan Rane. The two of them decide to take their love a step ahead and get married. She reaches Malaysia to make him her life partner but gets stood up by him. Harshavardhan apparently does not make it on time to the meeting place and misses her on getting there. As Genelia gets ready to leave she gets caught by a gang of hooligans who as usual are famous for creating trouble. This is the point when the hero Rana enters and shows his machoism. He scares them away but loses his 10 lakhs that he is carrying around. The next morning when he comes back to his senses, he decides that it is because of her that he has lost the money and so plans to take it back. He takes her back to India and tells her parents the whole story. He expects that her father should now make up for his loss. As is his habit of drinking he soon realizes that he is in love with her and needs her in his love. At this point they elope to Malaysia again. But there is trouble in paradise again!! The lover boy Harshavardhan makes an appearance and comes across Rana. Rana as expected is not ready to give up on his lady love and decides to make life difficult for his opponent. He also makes sure that he expresses his love to Genelia. Now the question arises whom will Genelia choose? Will Ranaa get his way and win her heart?? Well you need to watch it!!!!
How the actors fared?
Actor Rana was in news for this role which was his first lover boy image. Though the director has given him a new look and role the actor has miles to go with his acting skills. His dance on the other hand showed his hard work and managed to get him a bonus point. Sweet and Bubbly natured Genelia on the other hand has acted very well and so has Harshavardhan Rane.
Comedians Ali, Bhramanandham, Chithram Srinu, Raghu managed their part well enough.
Directors Mark.
The director Prakash Tolleti has missed his mark with more than half of the movie. Themovie seems to be illogical in the first half where the hero is helping people when he is not sober. He also takes the heroine backand then elopes with her back to the same place. The story seems to be going in big round circles. He does make a comeback in the second half but still does not make any connection whatsoever with the audience.
The Technical Department.
The cinematographer Venkat Prasad and editor Kona Venkateshwara Rao have donea decent job though they have not managed to convince the public that it is Malaysia. It seems like it has been shot here and made to look like Malaysia. They have not managed to do a clean job in this area.
Movie Impact
The movie as expected may not make a path breaking mark at the box office. The movie failed to make a connection with theaudience and the box office. A movie with a repeated story with a few twists and turns including a direction that has gone haywire seems to be its huge negative aspect. The director also failed in unfolding the story smoothly to the audiences.

With other movies releasing today and a few more next week it is wise to let this movie pass by and save the hard earned money for a better movie. Looks like the most awaited Ugadi surprise is not yet up to the mark.
