In a political masterstroke, theYSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to announce that he would undertake 590 km long Padayatra demanding nationalstatus for Pranahitha- Chevella project in the Telangana region.
According to sources, he is expected to make the announcement after the completion of his 48-hour long fast at Armoor in Nizamabad district.
The idea of taking up a padayatra is seen in his party circles as a masterstroke to silence his critics who brand him as anti-Telangana.
By this move, Jagan wants to move closer to the people of Telangana region where he could not undertake “Odarpu” yatra so far.
The party sources say that he would take up more yatras in Telangana in future as he feelsemboldened by the public response to his Rythu Deeksha
