'Remix' Stories for how long?

When ever a movie lover in tollywood wish to watch a film, he will be welcomed by films like 'Wanted','Journey','Body Guard','Businessman' etc. He decides to watch the film compromising what is there in name but from the moment he feels the comforts of his seat, he will be treated with a Mumbai beauty or Punjabi Kudi speaking in his language rendered by someone else. He has to be contend with himself what is there in beauty but then villains from other regions come to thrash his hero. He will be left wondering does our people don't have courage to blow punches on our hero?. Even before he could find answer native locations change to US,Australia or Thailand. He will be remembered of a hollywood film watching hero's introduction scene, bollywood film from interval and climax resembles korean or some other foreign language flick. Entire experience looks like a copy paste for him and he will be left crying why film makers take him for a ride for his hard earned money depriving of entertainment.

Film making is a blend of creativity but present generation believes only remixing without arousing anyone's doubt is the only innovativeness. No one can put a hand on his heart and say with confidence that the film is his own.Film makers are just waiting for a hit bollywood and kollywood film to buy the remake rights of the film but the scenario is no different in bollywood as they are looking down south to score hits from 'Pokiri','Kick' and 'Ready'. Success story of 'Body Guard' in all languages speaks the entire essence of film making of present generation. Buzz is a tollywood producer thought of buying remake rights of kollywood hit film only to findout during preview that it was the remake version of his own film. For instance Prabhu Deva is scoring hits only directing remakes of hit films of other languages.Ironically many are just remaking everything from original forgetting nativity aspect. It is better our film makers remember tollywood's ever green hit 'Iddaru Mitrulu' starring ANR is a remake of bengali film 'Tasher Ghar'. It never forgot the native aspect and film makers should learn on how to remake films.

If one looks at 'Bodyguard' many feel Victory Venkatesh just aped Salman in all aspects forgetting he is a big star in tollywood. The moment producer asks director when he narrates remake story whether hero's introduction scene is similar in original, xerox copy will be underway. They organise grand press meets and go on record saying the film script was innovative indulging in self destruction. Even songs will be similar the trend introduced by Devi Sri Prasad and Manisharma to others.Puri Jagannath goes on questioning what was wrong in that when cameras we use were imported. Unless until this trend is changed tollywood's debacles will not stop.
