The buzz word for this festive season is 'Businessman' and the interesting one is that the film lived up to the humongous hype. The dialogues of the film are much talked about and one particular dialogue by Mahesh which has a political connection has triggered widespread discussion in film & political circles.
In one of the scenes, Mahesh Babu comes forward to sponser the entire election fund for a Party, on the condition that PM should back him after coming to power.Dharmavarapu Subrahmaniam (who played politician Shayaji Shinde's assistant) questions Mahesh,"Are you aware of how much it would cost? It costs around Rs 20 crores per candidate."
Mahesh Responds "Rs 20 crores per candidate is only an assumption. But it varies from candidate to candidate depending upon their capability. Rs 20 crore, Rs 25 crore, Rs 50 crore and recently Rs 250 crores were spent for Kadapa Elections."
As Jagan faced allegations of transporting huge money through Sakshi TV Vehicles and gifted scorpios in Kadapa during by-polls, these dialogues from Mahesh Babu gained prominence which seems to be a pure satire on Jagan.
